GROOMING

What to Expect

ALL GROOMING IS DONE BY APPOINTMENTS ONLY. On your first appointment date, be prepared to speak to your groomer about your dog's haircut. Also remember to bring a hard copy of your dog's shot records showing up to date rabies, distemper parvo, and bordetella vaccines. You will also need to fill out an information form. This form can be found in the "forms" tab at the top of this page.

Dogs are first bathed and dried by our bathers, and then groomed by their groomer in the order they arrived.

Grooming Drop Off

Drop off time for grooming appointments is 8:00-9:00 am. Dogs are groomed on a first-come first-served basis. We will call you as soon as your dog is finished with grooming. If you need a specific pick up time, please discuss this with your groomer. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE A PICK UP TIME. We offer doggie daycare if you would like for your pup to join in group play while they are waiting. We also provide fresh water in each kennel and potty breaks.

Full Grooms

A FULL GROOM by our Certified Groomer includes complete brush out, bath, blow dry, nails trimmed and buffed, paw pads hair shaved, ears cleaned and ear hair plucked, anal glands, sanitary clip, breed specific clip or trim or other style as requested by customer if dog's coat condition permits. NO CAGE DRYING!! Additional fees may be added for dematting or difficult to groom. Please call for pricing. You can add this service while your pet is boarding, or having a day of fun day care.

All services are by appointment ONLY. Same-day appointments may be available, please call ahead.

Our Groomers

Amanda Damaschun - Groomer/Owner

Amanda has been grooming for 17 years. She showed Bichons Frises in the early 2000's, but then decided to groom rescue dogs. She joined Houndstooth in 2015. She and her husband Steve have 4 dogs: T-Bone, Nestle, Suzy Q, Dolce, and 3 cats: Max, Lydia, and Binx.

Eden Jaggers - Groomer

Eden has been grooming for 9 years. She joined the Houndstooth team in 2013. She has a Shih-Tzu named Evan, a Chihuahua mix named Heidi, and 4 cats: Pumpkin, Pixie, Cheeto and Sass.

Amanda Davis - Groomer

Amanda Davis graduated grooming school in 2018, and has been a groomer at Houndstooth since. She was previously the Bathing Manager for 7 years. She has 2 dogs- Bruce Wayne and Nightwing.
